POIRIER, Phillip – Mr. Phillip Joseph Paul Poirier passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Monday May 31, 2021 at the age of 50 years. Cherished son of Emile Poirier and the late June (née Murray) Poirier. Dear brother to Pamela Poirier (Matthew Morrissette). Sadly, missed by his nephew and niece Dylan McClain and Cheyenne McClain (Brett Campbell), and by his two great nephews Issac and Jasper. He will be greatly missed by his sidekick “Benji”. He is survived by his Godparents Rheal and Melvina Labelle, two other aunts Cecile Walker and Shirley Murray and one other uncle Steve Poirier and many cousins in Canada and the US. Phillip was a passionate Montreal Canadiens and NASCAR fan. Phillip enjoyed gardening and had a passion for cooking. Cremation has taken place. A private interment at Precious Blood Cemetery will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall.
