Passed away peacefully at Strathroy Middle General Hospital on Monday, September 13, 2021 of Lobo, at the age of 59. Cherished daughter of Donna (Noyes) and the late Ken Peterson (2002). Dearest sister of Marilyn and Carl Haines, and Mary Peterson and Rob Essery. Proud aunt of Gordon Haines, Christa and Ron Sheridan, Tracy and Arthur van Gameren, and Jason Essery.
Karen loved life out in the country and being on the farm. She will be remembered for her love of all animals, especially raising her Angus cattle and horses. Karen will be sorely missed by her dog Mykah, and her horses Aries, Czoe, and Dan.
The family wishes to thank Andrew and Hayley, the VON for their ongoing care, the staff at the LHSC Cancer Clinic, the staff at Foodland in Komoka, and all of her friends and family for their support, care and compassion.
Keeping with Karen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Cemetery on Saturday, September 18th at 10 AM.
