Bessie “Pearl” Pardy (Norman) of Port Union, NL
August 11, 1930 – March 21, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Bessie “Pearl“ Pardy on March 21, 2021, at the age of 90, with family by her side at St. Patrick’s Mercy home in St. John’s.
Pearl was predeceased by her loving husband Gerald, and her parents Winnie and Gordon.
Leaving to mourn with fond memories- children Randy (Doreen), Alvin (Mary) and Marina (Edgar), as well as Siblings George (Ruth) and Gerald (Barb). Pearl will also be fondly remembered by 6 grandchildren Curtis, Colette (Peter), Nikki (Nadine), Ryan (Ashley), Lori (Jeff) and Ashley, as well as 7 great grandchildren Jaida, Jayke, Joey, Simon, Oliver, Clark and Logan.
The presence of many family members listed above was dearly missed at this time due to the covid-19 travel ban.
Special thank you to the staff at Luxury Estates and Golden Heights Manor in Bonavista, as well as staff at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home in St. John’s who provided great compassion to Pearl and comfort to the family in the last few months of her life.
Cremation will take place this week but due to covid-19 restrictions and family unable to return home to the province at this time, a funeral will be held at a later date.
