Obituary of Patrick DeVarenne
Born in Saint John, NB on October 13, 1975, Patrick Francis David DeVarenne passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021 following a period of illness. Son of Susan (nee McMurray) and Leo (deceased) DeVarenne, Patrick will be deeply missed by family and friends. He is survived by his life partner, Lauren Mitchell, and son Shamus DeVarenne-Arsenault as well as his brothers, Christopher (Sarah Evans) and Scott (Corrina Richards).
A dedicated IT professional, Patrick began his career as a self-taught analyst and rapidly acquired key skills and knowledge, rising through the ranks to a senior leadership role with trouble-shooting responsibilities throughout North America and around the world. Patrick was a caring and committed Dad and one of the joys of his life was spending time with son Shamus.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). There will be no visitation or service. The family would appreciate privacy at this time. Special thanks to Christine Arsenault for her support during this difficult time. Remembrances can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
