Obituary
Pat passed away suddenly at his home on June 3, 2021. He leaves his heartbroken family and close friends, and also many colleagues, acquaintances and co-workers.
Pat worked at Toronto Terminals Railway for many years and previously had worked in computer programming for various companies.
He was a lover of music – particularly jazz but all other types – and attended many concerts and festivals with friends he met through this interest. He also was part of a close community of long time neighborhood residents.
Pat had a quick wit and a good sense of humor; he was well loved and will be missed by many.
Service Details:
Due to covid, a Mass and reception will be deferred until a later date when his friends and family can gather together safely to remember and celebrate Pat’s life.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Pat’s name can be made to The Salvation Army or to a charity of your choice.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Patrick Lazzarotto April 26 1963 June 3 2021 (age 58)..

Sympathies message

  1. Very sorry to see this. I knew “plaz” through music sharing forums/trade groups. He was well respected and always willing to share knowledge and shows. He will be missed.

Patrick had a large collection of unshared, non-commercial concert music material that he wanted me to curate in 2020-21. I was not able to do so at that time but I hope that his collection has been passed on to some nurturing soul who recognizes its historic nature. Some of it was quite rare, legacy-stuff for the ages.
