Patricia’s Obituary
It is with immense sadness that the family of Patricia Isabelle Frye announce her passing on March 15, 2021 after a brief illness, aged 84 years. She passed away peacefully at James Peyton Memorial Hospital, Gander.
Patricia was a kind and gentle soul who doted on her family and friends; she loved all and was loved by all. She was a faithful member of St. Augustine’s Anglican Church and was actively involved in many of the committees within, especially the ACW; the Guiding and Scouting movements in Stephenville, and the province, where she held numerous positions; was one of the founding members of the local Food Bank, and many other organizations within her community. Her contribution to her community was recognized in 1982 when she was named “Stephenville’s Citizen of the Year”.
She is predeceased by: her parents, William and Olive Davis; Albert Frye; brothers-in-law John Parker, George Frye, Vincent Tobin and Mike Gaudet; and sisters-in-law Florence Tobin and Winnie Gaudet.
Leaving to mourn with grateful hearts are her children: Goldie Frye, Debbie Turner (Bob), Robert Frye (Tracy); and grandson Jordan Frye; sisters: Florence Vaughan (Royce), Lillian Vantassell and Ruth Bremner (Brian); sister-in-law Donna Frye; many special nieces and nephews; very special friends: Hilda Oake, Phyllis Murphy, Mike and Yvonne Cormier, Randy Scott, Rev. Kris and Pam Gosse, who were so good to her throughout the years and in her final days; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 17th from 2 – 4 PM. and from 6 – 8 PM at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville. This will be a drive-up visitation, please line up in your vehicle, when your vehicle reaches the front double doors it will be your household’s turn to enter the building and visit with the family. Only one household bubble will be permitted in at a time.

As per COVID 19 restrictions, the funeral service and burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 18 and will be by invitation only. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia’s name to St. Augustine’s Anglican Church.
The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and kindness.
