It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late OWEN M. DRAKE regret to announce his passing at his home in Lawn on Wednesday August 19th, 2021 at the age of 58.
Owen will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by everyone who knew him, especially his family. He loved his family especially his wife Beth and his sons Jason & Jordon and his fur baby Misty.
Owen was a fisherman and knew his trade well. He loved sports and played many. Owen was an awesome dart player and loved playing with his two sons. Those who played with him felt lucky and those that didn’t tried twice as hard to beat him.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife Elizabeth of 39 years; sons, Jason and Jordon (Alicia); step-grandchildren, Megan (Brendon) and Nathan; step-great-granddaughter, Amelia; brother, Rodney Drake (Tammie); sisters, Maureen Grant (Mario) and Penny Drake; nieces and nephews, Cassandra, Doreen, Lee, Darryl and Shelby; brothers-in-law, Maurie Stacey, Ted Stacey (Laurella), John Stacey (Nora), Hubert Stacey (Lynn Ann); sisters-in-law, Angela Tarrant (Jack), Margaret Edwards (Anthony), and Monica Stacey; special friends, Morgan Hennebury, Keith Drake, Lou Dodge and dart buddy, Mike Drake; plus a large circle of other family and friends.
Owen was predeceased by his parents, Michael & Alicia Drake; brother, George Drake; parents-in-law, Thaddeus & Philomena Stacey; and brother-in-law, Joseph Stacey.
The Drake Family will be accepting visitors at their home in Lawn on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 11:00 am.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Lawn on Monday, August 23rd, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Cemetery.
In Owen’s memory donations may be made to The Drake Family or flower gratefully accepted.
