Normand Rheo Benoit (June 25, 1959 – December 18, 2021)
The family of Normand Benoit sadly announces his passing on Dec 18, 2021 at 7:30 a.m. at the West Nipissing General Hospital from his long battle with COPD-emphysema.
Norm was born in Sturgeon Falls and was best known for his amazing guitar skills and general skills as a musician. He was known for his kindness and genuine heart of gold. He loved music and his pets but he lived for his family and friends.
Normand was the son of the late Rheo and Rita Benoit and is survived by his siblings Louis, Sue Martin (Marcel), Pauline Tremblay (Gary), and Pete (Lyne). He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Ruthann (Nixon) and their children, grandchildren, Jason (Natalie, Mateo), Dustin (Stephanie, Aurora), Gavin, Bryden, Trace (Rain, Emberly, Davanee, and Remi), and Bryce; as well as his nieces and nephews Kevin (Angel), Tracy (Marc), Miguel (Genevieve), Danika, and Jannik.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.

Norm est née à Sturgeon Falls et était surtout connu pour ses incroyables talents de guitariste ainsi que ses aptitudes en tant que musicien. Il était connu pour sa gentillesse et son véritable cœur d’or. Il aimait la musique et ses animaux de compagnie, mais il vivait pour sa famille et ses amis.
Normand était le fils de feu Rheo et Rita Benoit et laisse dans le deuil ses frères et sœurs Louis, Sue Martin (Marcel), Pauline Tremblay (Gary) et Pete (Lyne). Il sera manqué par son épouse bien-aimée Ruthann (Nixon) et leurs enfants, petits-enfants, Jason (Natalie, Mateo), Dustin (Stephanie, Aurora), Gavin, Bryden, Trace (Rain, Emberly, Davanee et Remi) et Bryce ; ainsi que ses nièces et neveux Kevin (Angel), Tracy (Marc), Miguel (Geneviève), Danika et Jannik.
