Obituary
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Nancy Augusta Mae (Jukes) Browne. She passed away, at the age of 60, in the loving care of her husband Brian Leonard Browne in Kelowna General Hospital on May 23rd 2021. Nancy was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, July 15th 1960. She was raised in Ontario and moved to Penticton, B C after marrying Brian on June 6th 1992. While she built a new life in BC with her husband and his family along with their furry companion the cat, Duffy, she kept her ties with her family back in Ontario and New Brunswick.
Nancy owned a music shop where family and friends could listen to her beautiful singing voice as she played her guitar. Later the Music Shop gave way to yet another of her great ideas transforming it into The Hat Hideaway. Nancy is predeceased by her parents Leonard and Betty (Price) Jukes of Oshawa, Ontario. She leaves behind seven siblings; Alfred (Barb) Jukes, Danny (Charleen) Jukes, Rick Jukes, Kim Tully, Chris Jukes, and Joe Jukes. Two stepsons; Jordan (Andrea) Browne, Travis (Rowena) Browne, and six wonderful step grandchildren, Along with many nieces, nephews, aunts uncles, and her extended Browne family and countless friends. Nancy’s positive and enthusiastic personality is an inspiration to each of us.
