Carpino; Michele “Mike”
Passed away after a short but courageous battle with cancer surrounded by family at Mariposa House Hospice, Severn on Monday October 18, 2021 at the age of 89. Mike, beloved husband for 68years to Rosina (nee Carpino). Loving father of Franco Carpino (deceased), Sara Carpino of Toronto, Joe (Valerie) Carpino of Edmonton, Alberta, John (Lisa) Carpino of Moonstone. Cherished Nonno of Allysha, Steven, Tony (Aynsley), Matteo, Justin, Zachary, Melissa and Michael.
Mike was the son of the late Francesco Carpino and Rosaria Caruso of Cosenza, Italy. Dear brother of Giuseppe (Maria) both predeceased, Filomena Carpino (Santo) both predeceased, Maria Borelli (Giovanni deceased), Rita Reda (deceased) ( Giovanni) and Carmen Carpino (Avril). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Mariposa House Hospice, Couchiching Family Health Team and Bayshore Nursing for all of their care and compassion. Parish Prayers will be held in the Parlour Thursday October 21, 2021 at 4 PM followed by visitation until 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Guardian Angels, 115 West St. N, Orillia on Saturday October 23, 2021 at 11 AM. Entombment to follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Orillia. Due to COVID19 restrictions anyone planning on attending the Mass must register through the Mundell Funeral Home website or by calling 705-325-2231.
