Mercy A. Pond, 87, of Monarch Hall,
Riverview and formerly of Moncton passed away peacefully at her
residence on Friday, July 23, 2021.
Born in Doaktown, she was the daughter
of the late Robert and Hazel (Holmes) Murray.
Mercy loved life, reading a good book
and socializing, but her biggest passion was being an educator, and to
see students endeavour in their education, she retired as principal of
Beaverbrook School. She was also community minded, having served on
the library board, many local churches, as well as Moncton
Headstart.
Mercy will be sadly missed by her son,
William Pond Jr, his wife Linda, and her three children;
grandchildren, Matthew and Leanne; as well as members of the Murray,
Holmes and Pond families, and her many friends and
colleagues.
In addition to her parents, she was
predeceased by her husband, William Pond and her many
siblings.
A time to gather and share memories of
Mercy will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Interment will be held at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
In memory of Mercy, donations to
Moncton Headstart would be appreciated. Online condolences for the
family may be shared on Fergusons Funeral Home Facebook page or
