MCLEAN Armand 1943 2021

MCLEAN, Armand
1943 – 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Armand McLean on Thursday September 9th 2021, at the age of 78 years old. He passed away with his loving family by his side at Health Sciences North Hospital, in Sudbury, after succumbing to complications from medical procedures.
Armand was the beloved father of Lynn (Ryan) Duhaime, Marc (Chantal) McLean, and Annik (Stephane) Parent and proud grand-father of Pascale, Patrick-Aurel, Gabriella, Noémi, Cédric, Maxime and Isabel.
He joins his wife Aline, the love of his life. Armand was predeceased by his parents Yvette (Vezeau) and Gabriel McLean, as well as his brothers, Rhéal (Paulette) and Alphonse (Carole and Jackie) McLean.
He will be sadly missed by his sisters Thérèse (Clément) Héroux, Yvonne (Sylvio) Léveillé and Rita (George) Brown, his brother Roméo (Louiselle) McLean and his family-in-law, Jacques (Lynn) Labonté, Gaston (Brenda) Labonté, Denis (Liliane) Labonté, Marie (Robert) Gauvreau and Jules (Karen) Labonté. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Armand was born in Judge on March 30th 1943. Shortly after his birth, his family moved to Beauchamp Township in Kenabeek, ON, where they planted their roots permanently. A farmer at heart, he made progressive farming his life’s work and passed on his enthusiasm for agriculture to his children and grandchildren, many of whom continue to improve and expand the McLean farmstead. He was an uncomplicated man, loving his family wholeheartedly, forgiving easily and finding joy in the simplest of life’s pleasures: a good meal, daily walks with his dog Rosie, admiring the ever-changing landscape on his farms, time spent with family, a good card game, snowshoeing, riding his Gator.
He will be remembered by friends for his hearty hellos and unfailing good spirits. Armand was a kind hearted, gentle and loving man with a zest for life.
He will always be treasured by his loved ones. He leaves them with his knowledge, his work ethic and a wealth of memories that they will carry on.
Family and friends are invited to attend a service at Paroisse St Jean-Baptiste in Earlton, on Saturday, September 18th 2021 at 11:00 AM. Due to Covid limitations, all procedures will be in place and masks will be mandatory.
In loving memory of Armand, donations may be made to Paroisse St-Jean Baptiste in Earlton.
