Mavis Maslow Monday May 31st 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mavis at Pinawa Hospital at the age of 87 years.
She leaves to mourn her son Darwin (Donna), two grandsons Justin (Francesca) and Jeffrey (Felicia), two great grandsons Jaxon and Jace, sisters in law Josie (Steve), Jean , Annette, Eileen, Mildrid, and Margaret, and brother in law Ronald (Dorothy). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends Beverly and Jackie.
Mavis was predeceased by her beloved husband Walter, son Blaine, mother Doris, father Thomas, brothers Eddie, Raymond, Ernest, Gordon and Lorne, sisters Margaret and Matilda, sisters in law Maria, Ina and Velma, brothers in law Norman, Anton, James and George.
She was employed at the Royal Bank of Canada in Lac du Bonnet for 29 years, occupying many positions and retiring in 1992.
Mavis loved sports and was a life member of many organizations including Lac du Bonnet Curling Club, Wildlife Association, Landerville Water Co-Op, Pioneer Club and The Ladies Auxiliary of The Royal Canadian Legion, plus she volunteered whenever she felt capable. She also enjoyed woodworking and gardening in her spare time, but her greatest joy of all was her grandsons and great grandsons.
We would like to thank the nursing staff and doctors at the Pinawa Hospital who took good care of Mavis in her final days.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Mavis will be laid to rest at the Lac du Bonnet Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
