Matthew’s Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Matthew Myles Keating on Thursday, July 8th, 2021 at the age 73 years.
Matthew was beloved to his family and friends and laughter followed him in every gathering with songs and guitar playing.
Matthew will be lovingly remembered by family and friends, leaving to mourn: his partner Eugenie Minor of 30 plus years; daughters: Shannon (Darren) Trites, and Wanda (Dean) Cutler; sisters: Blanche Alexander and Marjorie Swyers; and brother Charlie Keating.
Grandchildren: Sophia Trites, Jessica Cutler and James Cutler; and great grandchild Ethan Cutler.
Matthew was predeceased by: father John D Keating and Mother Lillian Benoit; sisters: Theresa Madore, Christine White, Noreen Power, and Mary Keating; and brothers: Michael Keating, Huey Keating, Harold Keating, and John Keating; as well as a large circle of extended relatives and friends.
Following his wishes cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 13th beginning at 5:00 pm at the Assumption Parish Annex, Stephenville Crossing with an Aboriginal Celebration of Life to begin at 6pm. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Brook Street, Stephenville Crossing.
