Obituary of Mary Murphy
Passed away at the Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia on Friday, March 5, 2021, Mrs. Mary Murphy age 74 years of Ship Harbor, P. Bay
Predeceased by parents John and Elizabeth Griffiths, her daughter Angela, sisters: Matilda, Rose, Rebecca, Elizabeth and Germaine, brothers: Pat, Mike, Eugene and Pius. Along with brother in law and special friend whom she adored so much, Thomas Power.
Left to mourn:
Husband Cyril of 49 years, her six children: Jennifer (Larry), Cecelia (Wade), Cyril (Barbara), Scotty (Michaela), Eddie (Maria) and Phonse.
Grandchildren:
Ashton (Nikita), Kalie, Dylan, Braxton, Chelsea, Brooklyn, Cody, Morgan and Jeffrey
Also leaving the mourn are her brothers and sister: Jack, Leo, Val (Ann), Fergus (Catherine) and Theresa (John). Also special sister in law whom she thought so much of, Cecilia Norman (Frank) and sister in law Elizabeth Griffiths.
Special thanks to Dr. Rourke at the H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre and Dr. Rockel and the nurses at Placentia Hospital as well at the Lions Manor Nursing Home units 1 and 3 for their care during moms illness.
Mom, your wings were ready but our hearts were not.
Weep not for me though I have gone
Into that gentle night
Grieve if you will, but not for long
Upon my soul’s sweet flight
I am at peace, my soul’s at rest
There is no need for tears
For with your love I was so blessed
For all those many years
There is no pain, I suffer not
The fear is now all gone
Put now these things out of your thoughts
In your memory I live on
Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not the strife
Please do not dwell upon my death
But celebrate my life.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will take place on Monday, August 9, 2021 from 11:00 – 2:00
Funereal Service will take place at Coombs Memorial Chapel on August 9 at 2:00 p.m.
