Obituary of Mary Blanche Babcock
Mary Blanche Babcock (MacPherson)
April 24, 1921 – June 28, 2021
The family of Mary Babcock announce the passing of the last of her generation, after a short stay in hospital. A long-time resident of Kingston, Mary was the beloved wife of the late Grant Babcock who passed in 2003 after 59 years of marriage. Mother of Cheryl (Wayne) Baker, Bryan (Nancy) Babcock, and Dawne LaForce. Grandmother of six. Great-grandmother of ten. She graduated from KGH Nurses Training in 1944. Worked at various jobs including: KGH nurse, motel owner (Gananoque), real estate agent and private duty nurse. Her real joy was her family. She was also a life-long member of the United Church and loved a spirited, religious debate. With appreciation the family wish to thank the caring staff of the Carleton Place Terrace, and the kind doctors and nurses at the Carleton Place Memorial Hospital. As per Mary’s wishes there will be no visitation and there will be a private, graveside service at Wilton Cemetery, at a later date.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Mary
