Mary’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that the families of the late Mary “Marguerite” McLean announce her passing at the Carmelite Palliative Care Unit in Grand Falls – Windsor, NL, on April 19th, 2021 at the age of 81 years.
Marguerite was a member of CWL, Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Deer Lake, NL, and retired from Mun as a Librarian. She is predeceased by her mom and dad, Beryl and James McLean; and brother, Jim McLean. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son, Philip (Dallas) of Bedford, NS; and daughters, Margaret (Brent) of Grandfalls-Windsor, NL, and Catherine (Eric) of San Antonio, TX. Also leaving to mourn are her grandchildren, Michael, Erica, and Elizabeth; great-grandson, Joseph; brothers, Don and Jerry McLean; and so many special friends, too numerous to mention, who she considered as family.
Father Duffenais will conduct the funeral mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, on Thursday, April 22nd, 2021 at 11:00 am, with interment to follow at the Interfaith Cemetery. The pallbearers are Michael Hughes, Barry White, Sam Chapman, David Bennett, Scott Pittman, and Dick Butt, no Flowers by request. Donations may be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes in Grand Falls- Windsor.
