VAN AALTEN, Martin Adrianus – passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the age of 95. Beloved husband of the late Mary Van Aalten (nee: Verbeek), for over 67 years. Loving father of Debbie (Jim) Hoover, Pat (Ken) Smith, Ann (Jack) Sargent and John (Louise) Van Aalten. He will be sadly missed by his 9 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Martin was a member of the Probus Club of Brantford and an avid stamp collector/philatelist. The family would like to thank the team of doctors, nurses, social and support workers of the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton. Family and friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Tuesday, November 2nd from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, November 3rd at 11 a.m. Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery to follow. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated. Masks and social distancing protocols will be in place.
