Went home to be with his Saviour on Tuesday March 9th, 2021. Born in Oudwoude, Friesland, the Netherlands, on March 7th, 1942. Beloved husband of Otie Vanderkloet (nee Smid). Dear father of James Vanderkloet (Wilma) of Athens, Fred Vanderkloet (Karen) of Charlottetown, P.E.I., Joyce Jackson (Scott) of Gananoque, and Dale Vanderkloet (Heidi) of Athens. Grandfather of Nathaniel, Justin, Kyle, Rachel, Megan, Andrew, Cody, Katelyn, Leighton, and Sam. Predeceased by one granddaughter, Ella Jackson. Brother of Richard Vanderkloet (Mary) of Empress, Alberta, Irene Wyma (Harry) of Ridgetown, Ont., Evelyn Haggett (Joe) of Addison, Yvonne Morgan (David) and Anita Andrews all of Brockville. Predeceased by his brothers, Charles Vanderkloet and Peter Vanderkloet and by his sister-in-law, Beverly Vanderkloet. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Lorna Vanderkloet, his in-laws Alice Schreiber (Peter), Henry Smid (Sally) and Charles Smid (Marie). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Private Family Celebration will be held at the Athens Christian Reformed Church on Saturday March 13th, 2021. Interment will take place at Plum Hollow Cemetery.
