Obituary of Marlene Boechler
Marlene Boechler (nee Riffel) passed away after a long hard fought battle with cancer, with family by her side to the end, at the Dr. James W. Hemstock, Lloydminster, Alberta on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at the age of 73 years.
Marlene will be dearly remembered and forever missed by her three daughters and their families: Alison and Dale Fulkerth of Turtle Lake, Sk [Jordan (Ty), Delaney, Paige, Shelby (Travis) and Britt]; Tari-Lynn Boechler and Eddie Lehman of Lloydminster [Noah, Brandon, Taylor and Carson]; Kathy and Don Arsenault of Strathmore, AB [Hannah, Lauryn, Hayley and Prestyn]; 2 great grandchildren, Rylee & Kenzie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marlene was predeceased by: her loving husband, Edwin, ’Les’ Boechler; 9 older siblings; parents, Annie and Henry; and mother-in-law and father in-law, Margaret and Andrew Boechler.
Marlene was born January 6, 1948 on a family farm in Runnymede, Sk. She was the youngest of 10 siblings. She went on to go to hairdressing school and met the love of her life, Les, where they started a family in Prince Albert, Sk. with their daughters, Alison, Tari-Lynn and Kathy they moved to Spiritwood, sk, where they farmed and owned and operated the Spiritwood Motor Inn. In 1994, the motel sold and they purchased an acreage outside Mildred.
Marlene loved her work, her family and grandchildren. Her family meant the world to her and she enjoyed spending as much time with them as she could.
She is loved and will deeply missed by many.
The Memorial Service in memory of Marlene will be confirmed shortly, please check back.
