Obituary of Marion Ellen Hogan (Lawlor)
It is with great sadness and relief that the family of Marion Hogan announces her passing on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, after living with Alzheimer’s for the past 7 years. She was 87 years old. Marion will be lovingly remembered always by her children, Mike (Marg), Ken, Paul (Cathy), Judy (Gaetan) St-Laurent and Dianne (Terry) Bates. Marion will live on in the hearts as “Grandma” to her fifteen wonderful grandchildren, James, Shawn (Shannon), Jeff (Rachel), Dan (Brittany), Christine, Cheryl (Chris), Jeff, Jesse, Dylan, Corey (Allie), Keira, Chelsea, Lindsay, Travis and Chris. Marion was a Great Grandma to precious great grandchildren, Conner, Tessa, Zoe, Noah, Tenley and Boden. Predeceased by her husband John, her parents Maurice and Mary Lawlor and her siblings Allan Lawlor, Veronica Cudney, Teresa Finn, and Alice McKenna. Marion will be reunited with them all once again.
Marion will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, family, and dear friends. Marion was born in Odessa, Ontario and settled with her husband on their farm in Bath, Ontario. Marion was an amazing wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend to everyone.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament (3 Briscoe Street, Amherstview) on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 2 pm. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Linus Cemetery in Bath. All guests are asked to please confirm their attendance by clicking the RSVP tab under the service information on this memorial page. Memorial donations in Marion’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Thanks to the many staff and volunteers that have helped Marion through these past years living with this debilitating disease.
