Obituary of Maria Victoria Pacheco
Maria Pacheco
1934 – 2021
A wonderful, kind caring sister, aunt, and great aunt, Tia Mari was a mother figure to many generations of her family. Early morning September 10th, 2021 Tia Mari passed peacefully at home surrounded by love. A matriarch that was always supportive to all generations in her family and to her beloved parish members who she served for many years. Family and faith were everything to her, she will be remembered for her constant support and being a relentless champion of our efforts, activities, and passions.
Tia Mari moved from El Salvador to Canada in 1989 to be closer to her family. She spent her life devoted to her Catholic faith. Over the years she worked as a gifted seamstress and served as a cook, prayer warrior, and counselor to the many members of her community.
Maria was raised in a family of 11 and supported all of her siblings whether in Canada or El Salvador. She was selfless and always put the needs of others before her own. She will forever be remembered for her constant celebration of others and her genuine appreciation for life.
She is survived by many family members here in Canada, including her sister, Margarita Carballo, her nieces Carolina Mendez, Gladys Cristales, Marta Gloria Valladares, her nephews Daniel Carballo, Francis Cristales, Manolo Cristales, Juan Cristales, as well as many great nieces and nephews in Canada, the United States and El Salvador. Her guidance, strength, and tremendous capacity to love will be sorely missed by all her family members. We love you forever, Tia Mariyita.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Maria
