Maria Hurtubise
Peacefully on August 20th, 2021, Maria Hurtubise passed away gracefully in her sleep at the age of 89 after a long battle. Maria’s nickname was “Wonder Women” for her uncanny ability to endure anything life threw her way, was a one kind woman to all those she met during her 89 years. Maria leaves behind her daughter, Lynn, son-in-law Joey Licari, her three beautiful grand-daughters Madison, Julia, Angele, (Justin) and great-grandson Bentley. Maria was predeceased by her late husband Rolly Hurtubise and her two children, Diane, and Michael. Maria was comforted by the phenomenal nurses and PSWs at Bayfield Manor where she has resided for the past nine years. We would like to give a special thank-you to Bayfield Manor for working tirelessly to keep Maria in good health and spirits up until her peaceful passing. Maria was a formidable woman with quick wit and dry sense of humor. Maria will be deeply missed but forever cherished by her friends and family.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Cross Church. 803 Clothier Street West, Kemptville on Monday August 30th, 20201 at 11:00am followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations can be made to Bayfield Manor, 100 Elvira Street, Kemptville, K0G 1J0, directly in her name.
