It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marguerite Louise Kostynuik (nee Leckett) on August 5, 2021.
She will be greatly missed by husband William Kostynuik, brother Walter (Beverley), and sons Peter (Sharon), Andrew (Debbie) and Joseph (Nikki). Marguerite was predeceased by daughter Roberta, parents Jessie and William (Bill) Leckett, and brothers Edward (Marsha) and Victor (Marjorie). She is survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Marguerite was born in Winnipeg on March 8, 1944. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy and pursued a rewarding career with TD Canada Trust. She married William in February of 1962 and the two moved to Calgary in 1988 before settling back in Winnipeg in 2007 to enjoy their retirement surrounded by family. Marguerite will be fondly remembered for her caring heart, quick wit, beautiful artwork, and delicious family recipes.
In keeping with Marguerite’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
