MARGARET “Peggy” HAMMOND
Of Sundridge
Peacefully, with her family at her side at the Algonquin Grace Hospice in Huntsville on Thursday November 25, 2021. Peggy, beloved wife of the late Jim Nichols, was in her 85th year. Cherished mother of Lorie Ranieri, Kelly Elik (Marty), Kirby Deller (Linda), Trevor and Tylor Hammond. Stepmother of Gayle Stannard (Rick). Proud Nana of Amanda, Josh, Alyssa, Brittany, Kendra, Danika, Colton, Hayven, Mackoy, Jimmy and Jillian. NanaNana to Hunter, Freya, Oliver, James and Mason. Dear sister of Pat Holman (Dick) and Gary Rice (Maureen). Peggy will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She was a PSW at Eastholme for many years and made many connections there. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk’s Falls on Sunday December 5, 2021, from 2 to 6pm. A service to celebrate Peggy’s life will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 11:00 am on Monday December 6, 2021, with Reverend David Woodall officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Algonquin Grace Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
