Passed away peacefully in Stoney Creek, Ontario on Wednesday, July 28th, 2021 at the age of 79. Wife of John Rutledge, who pre-deceased her in February of this year. Step mother of Jennifer and Randall, and step grandmother of Trevor and Emily. Dear aunt of Sherry Millar (Glenn) and Norris “Dean” Post (Patty). Remembered by brother-in-law Roy Post (Betsy), and predeceased by sister Susan Post (2012). Melinda will also be missed by the extended Rutledge, Gowland, Franklin, Post, Quackenbush and Millar families. A special thank you to the staff at Amica Seniors’ Residence, Stoney Creek, for their kindness, compassion and the excellent care provided. As per Melinda’s wishes, private cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Melinda to a charity of choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
