MAILLE, Lina Maria
1942 – 2021
It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Lina Maria Maille ( nee Tomei) on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 with her family by her side.
She is survived by her loving husband John , her daughters Christina Deighton (Steve Cox) and Joanne Paisley, her grandchildren Kara and Tyler Deighton and Ryan and Ethan Paisley as well as her brother Giulio Tomei (Norma). Lina was predeceased by her parents Secondo and Ledia Tomei.
Lina was born in Castel del Monte, Italy and came to Canada in 1954 at the age of 12. She was a long time employee at the Royal Bank in Kirkland Lake as well as a long time member of the Catholic Women’s League at Holy Name Parish. Lina was extremely devoted to her family and cherished time with them, especially her grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the French Family Funeral Home. A Memorial Mass will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Name Church.
If desired, donations may be made to Holy Name Parish, 39 Kirkland Street, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 2G3 or Kirkland and District Hospital Foundation, 145 Government Road East, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 3P4.
