Denis, Madeleine Marie
May 4, 1927 – August 27, 2021
Madeleine passed away peacefully on August 27, 2021 at St. Paul’s Hospital at the age of 94. She was born May 4, 1927 in St. Denis to Fernand and Maria Dellezay and spent her childhood on the family farm along with 7 siblings. She married her true love, Lucien Denis, on June 15, 1949. Together, they raised eight children on a farm in the St. Denis area. They retired in the summer of 2007 and moved to St. Ann’s Residence in Saskatoon. She continued living there on her own after Lucien passed away on Dec. 31, 2011. In March 2018, mom moved to Coulic Care Home in Dalmeny where she resided until her passing. She is survived by her children: Georgette Denis, Evelyn Neilson (Paul), Doris White (Warren), Annette Denis, Muriel Nahorniak (Terry) Lucien Denis Jr., and over thirty grandchildren and great grandchildren. Madeleine was a woman of great faith and was very sweet-natured. Her heart overflowed with love, and she accepted people as they were. A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2021 with live-streaming available at: www.faithproductions.ca/livestream Arrangements in care of Aimé Laventure – Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200.
