Lyne Pollock
May 21, 2021

With heavy hearts, the family of Lyne Pollock announces her passing on May 21, 2021, after .a lengthy but valiant fight against cancer.
Lyne is predeceased by her parents John and Lillian Morin and husband Ron Pollock. Lyne is survived by her partner of 15 years, Arnold Watts, brother Marcel (Sandra), nephew Maurice, brother Gerald (Birgit), nieces Alicia, Lynette and Kaela, brother Raymond (Haley), nephew Logan as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Lyne’s family and friends were very important to her. She never forgot to send birthday, anniversary or holiday cards, she was notorious for mailing her Christmas cards so early they often arrived in November. When possible she attended all birthday parties, family events, nieces and nephews school events, grads and she almost never missed family BBQ’s and meetings at Blue Lake for a swim and some sun. There was nothing she liked better than a good cup of tea, a good chat and a nice visit.
Lyne had simple tastes and enjoyed the less complicated things in life. She picked up a love of gardening from her father and tended a small garden and flower beds every year she could. Her huge collection of knickknacks often gave her the most decorated house —indoor and out—in the neighbourhood.
During the summer Lyne enjoyed visiting Marcel and his family in Sioux Lookout and fishing in “Lyne’s Bay” on Lac Seul. She would also have Arnie drop her off at the Morin camp to see Raymond and his family, go fishing and enjoy nature. Lyne enjoyed wildlife and was particularly fond of robins and hummingbirds, which she fed at her home. She also fed the ravens, crows, the occasional deer and anything else that happened to cross the yard. She once regularly fed and homed a one-legged seagull—affectionately named Pegleg—over several summers.
Lyne liked a little adventure in her life and had visited Las Vegas numerous times going to shows and touring. During the summer months she would often spend weekends at Vintage Car Shows going to various places throughout the States, Manitoba and Ontario. In the fall she loved going to Manitoba attending Fall Fairs, enjoying the parades, displays and food from the area.
When Lyne and Arnie got together they were inseparable. When she could she helped him with his jobs and when she couldn’t, she liked to keep him company and just “go along for the ride”.
Lyne was a much loved partner, sister, sister-in-law, friend and a stellar aunt. She will be long missed, never forgotten and remembered fondly.
A Memorial Service to Celebrate Lyn’s Life will be held at a later date.
