LYNCH, “Tim” Timothy

May 13, 1951 – August 4, 2021
Tim passed away after a battle with Glioblastoma at the age of 70.
Tim was born in Lytton, BC. However, he spent most of his life in Abbotsford, BC, until he retired to Big Bar Lake in the Cariboo. It was there that he built Suzanne’s dream lakehouse.
Tim was a red seal carpenter and worked in the construction trade for 20 years. He then spent 20 years as a trades instructor at the University of the Fraser Valley. He enjoyed teaching the Carpenter Apprentice Program and always loved to hear from his students after they embarked on their careers. Many kept in touch to tell him how they were doing and one even insisted on helping him build his house at Big Bar Lake.
Tim was passionate about hunting, camping, and the conservation of wildlife. his knowledge of firearms was vast and once again he took great pride in passing along his knowledge to others, especially to young people.
Tim loved people. He usually had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his blue eyes. He loved to laugh and tell stories. His best times were around a campfire surrounded by as many friends as possible.
He is survived by his wife Suzanne; step-children Sean, Bree, Jesse, Denise (Ted), and George (Jen); grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister Gloria Borrows; brothers Martin, Mitch (Bonnie), and Scott (Tonya) Borrows; and many extended family members.
There will be a celebration of his life at Big Bar Lake in the spring of 2022. Details to follow.
