Lorraine Rema Blakeney
– age 84, of Kentville, passed away on Wednesday, July 28,
2021, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Forest Hill,
she was a daughter to the late Ivan and Frances (Jordan) Davidson. She
is survived by daughter, Debbie (Erwin) Meisner, Ross Corner; sons,
John “Jack” (Lorraine), New Glasgow; Bruce (Linda),
Kentville; Scott (Deb), Portapique; sisters, Edra Cavanaugh and Terry
Rogers, both of Wolfville; brother-in-law, Larry Long, Black River;
grandchildren, Jill (Jason) Reese, Cambridge; Jacob (Jessie) Meisner,
Beaver Bank; Mattea Meisner (Drew), Tremont; great-grandchildren, Ben,
Lexie, Jordyn, Aiden and Ethan. In addition to her parents, she was
predeceased by her husband, John; infant daughter, Susan; sister,
MaryAnne Long; brothers, Russell and Sherman; and brother-in-law,
Edward “Pine” Cavanaugh. Cremation has taken place
and there will be no visitation, by request. A graveside service will
be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Elm Grove
Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of
one’s choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to
the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
