Obituary for Linda DWAYNE Morton
December 20, 1960 to July 8, 2021
It is with profound sadness that the family of Linda Dwayne Morton (nee SCOTT), 60, announce her passing. Known as Dwayne to her friends and family, she was the loving wife, for 37 years, of David, loyal sister to Dwight, joyful mother of Scott and Derek, proud Nana to Chase, Alivia and Elodie, and a life-long Toronto Maple Leafs fan.
The daughter of Alan (Scotty) and Maxine Scott, Dwayne entered into the world of Nursing after graduating from Durham College in 1981 and started helping mothers bring their babies into the world, primarily at Humber River Regional Hospital in Toronto and did so happily for almost 35 years.
Dwayne lost her battle with several health issues on July 8. She will be lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and those whom she helped through some of the most important moments of their lives.
As per her wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held once COVID-19 restrictions are eased. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that a memorial donation may be made in her name to Diabetes Canada or the SickKids Foundation.
