In Loving Memory of Lillian Annikki Wahamaa (nee Kangas), 94 years. Sunday, March 7th, 2021 at her home. Beloved wife of Aate Lennart “Len” Wahamaa predeceased 1986. Loving mother of Donald (wife Linda) and Douglas. Dear daughter of Henry and Tyyne Kangas both predeceased. Lillian was the Sudbury District 4 Treasurer of the Superannuated Teachers of Ontario; a member of Beta Sigma Phi – Xi Master Chapter; a member of Ladies of Kaleva; Past President and Treasurer of the Sudbury Memorial Hospital Auxiliary with 35 years of service as a volunteer; Past Secretary of the Seniors Advisory Council for the region; and Life Member of the Sudbury Finnish Rest Home Society. Lillian was dedicated to the community no task was too large or too small. She would complete with pride of a job well done. She truly made a difference in the quality of the life of others. Lillian remained engaged, vibrant and independent. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations to Finlandia Village SISU Foundation or the HSNF – Cardiac Unit would be appreciated. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, Monday, March 15, 2021 at 1pm. Interment in the family plot at the Park Lawn Cemetery. (Friends may call after 11am Monday).
