Lila Ward
It is with great sadness the Family announces the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandma, Lila Ward on June 17, 2021, at the age of 91 years.
Mom is survived by her son, Gary (Angie); three daughters, Lorraine (Jim), Penny (Bert) and Kathy (Omar); nine grandchildren, Lori, Kristi, Melissa, Megan, Scott, Craig, Michelle, Jason and Chad; twenty great-grandchildren, Hope, Tianna, Katelynn, Lynsey, Nolan, Bradley, Scarlett, Poppy, Brooke, Hailey, Nixynn, Cooper, Zaide, Hudson, Nicolas, Nathan, Haley, Maëlle, Lexie and Nathan.
Lila is also survived by brothers, Sonny & Gordon; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Lila was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence of 63 years.
Mom lived her life the way she wanted with so much love for her family. She enjoyed her long walks everyday rain or shine, curling during the winter and golfing in the summer. Her life was filled with many friends and lasting memories that will be forever cherished and remembered by all.
The last three years of mom’s life were spent at Benevolence Care Centre, where mom won the “Hearts” of all the staff. Your love, care, support and compassion will always be remembered. Mom will be forever missed and in our hearts.
Due to COVID restrictions a private family graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 1 p.m., officiated by Pastor Doug Hale.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Edmonton in Lila’s memory.
