Passed away at Etobicoke General Hospital on August 28, 2021.
Beloved husband of Maria. Loving father of Michael, Mark and Marilyn.
Dear brother of Elena (late Angelo Minichillo), the late Lina (Giuseppe Durante), late Giovanni (Carmela), late Nicola (Assunta) and brother in law to the late Concetta Pompeo (late Costantino Amoroso) , late Antonietta Pompeo (late Domenico Di Bartolomeo) and the late Giuseppe Pompeo (Maria)
He is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Libero worked at De Havilland (Bombardier Aerospace Inc.) in the wings division reading blueprints.
He worked in Germany, Switzerland and England. In Italy he had a small business making railings, windows and doors and repairs for provincial and federal government facilities.
Libero, with his wife Maria came to Canada on February 24, 1971 with their 14 month old baby boy Michael. He worked in welding doing metal bending for 15 years as a peace worker before working for de Havilland Bombardier. He was a devoted church member and served on the church board as well as volunteering at the old age home. He was devoted to his family and loved everyone. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge on Tuesday from 2-4/6-9 pm. Please RSVP at the link below if you wish to attend the visitation. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, September 8th at 10 am however due to capacity restrictions with social distancing, the funeral will be private
