Carrier, Leon Joseph
The passing of Leon Joseph Carrier of Durham Bridge, NB, husband of the late Sharon (Hazlet) Carrier, occurred on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 28, 1939 in Lorne Settlement, NB, he was the son of the late John and Gertrude Carrier.
Leon is survived by his sons Leon Jr. “Rocky” Carrier and Greg Carrier (Teresa); daughter Wendy-Lynn Cail (Peter); sister Eva Lavigne (Nelson); eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife Leon was predeceased by his son Michael Carrier; daughter Rose Marie Carrier; sisters Shirley O’Brian, Mona Carrier, Ernestine Hayes and Carmella Comeau; brothers Raymond Carrier, Stewart Carrier and Preston Carrier.
Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home on Monday May 10, 2021 from 6 to 8 pm. A Funeral Service by invitation only will be celebrated on Tuesday May 11, 2021 at 1 pm with Father Peter Osborne officiating. The public can register and view the service by clicking here. Interment will take place in the St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
