Leo’s Obituary
NEW GLASGOW – Leo Martinus Sanders, 76, New Glasgow, passed away, Sunday, September 19, 2021 in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow.
Born in North Brabant, Netherlands, he was a son of the late Anthony and Theodora (Vandeven) Sanders. Prior to retirement, Leo had been employed with Michelin Tire, Granton for 29 years. He served as a volunteer fireman with several fire departments for over 30 years – a role he thoroughly enjoyed. Leo was an avid fisherman, never missing an opportunity to try out a new fishing spot. For Leo, “Life has changed; not ended!”
Surviving are his wife, Peggy Sanders; son, Randall Sanders, Stellarton; daughters, Linda and Sherry Sanders, New Glasgow; four grandchildren; several sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Leo’s final wishes will be honoured by his family.
