COURTNEY, Layla Flora Lynn –
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Layla Courtney of Milford announce her passing at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, June 10, 2021, one day after her birth. Cherished daughter of Brandy (nee Simmons) and Greg and forever remembered by her big sister Ella (age 3). Granddaughter of Linda Sheckleton (late Larry Simmons) of Trenton and Wade & Kimberley Courtney of Milford, great granddaughter of Eunice Hineman, Dale Hineman, and the late Violet & Earl Courtney. Special niece of Jordan Courtney (fiancee Kali Michaels), Sarah Monroe and Brittney Penn Tomsett and the little cousin of Braxton. Sadly missed by her many aunts, uncles and cousins. A very special thank you to all the staff, doctors and nurses at the NICU – Kingston Hospital for the wonderful care provided to our Layla and our family.
Layla is resting at the Whattam-Hicks Funeral Home, 33 Main Street West, Picton (613-476-2450). Private Family Services will be held. If desired, donations to Hospital for Sick Children would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences for Layla can be left at: www.rushnellfamilyservices.com
