Lamont Keith Larkin
– age 81, of Kentville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday,
November 24, 2021 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. He was a
son of the late Harold and Madge (Hughes) Larkin and grew up in Middle
East Pubnico, Nova Scotia. A graduate of Acadia University, Lamont
began his teaching career in Chester Basin and moved to Horton
District High School from where he retired as Science Department Head.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (MacMillan); daughter, Katherine
(Kurt), New York; sons, Andrew, Philadelphia and David (Madeline),
Hermon, Maine; grandchildren, Ben, Chloe and Matthew, all of New York;
Edward, Philadelphia; Vivien, Chicago; Kylie and Claire, Maine; and
sister, Viola Larkin “Sis”, Middle East Pubnico.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant brother, George
Larkin. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by
request. A private interment will be held in Middle East Pubnico. A
memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory may
be made to the Rick Hansen Foundation, Annapolis Valley –
VON or the Valley Regional Hospital – CT Scan Fund.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
