Tributes
McPherson, L. Grace
March 6, 1923 – September 21, 20201
We are sad to announce the passing of my mom Grace, in the early morning hours of September 21, 2021 infolded in my arms at the Carleton Lodge Nursing Home. Left behind daughter Lynn Waugh (Herb). Predeceased by husband Leslie (1991) and son Murray (1979). She will be missed by loving nieces, nephews in law and friends. Grace was born in Saskatoon but lived in Raymore, Saskatchewan. As a teenager she shared the passion for short wave radio and earned her operator license to reach and help others. She worked for TCP (Air Canada now) in Winnipeg, then Lethbridge where she met and married Leslie. Their first move was to Saskatoon where Lynn was born with several moves after before coming to Ottawa where Murray was born. She continued her passions for bird watching, photography, baking, sewing and other interests like travelling thru Canada and other countries. There will be no visitation and cremation is to take place. Funeral in Grand Valley at a later date. We would like to thank the dedicated and friendly staff at Carleton Lodge, especially Goulbourn Village. Special thanks to Maoua, Mary Ellen, Elaine, Kim, Natalie, Samantha and Carole. Memories are forever. Memorial donations can be made to the Carleton Lodge Auxiliary (“In memorium”) or Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County.
