Obituary For Kaw-Liga Manichoose
Kaw-Liga Manichoose, resident of Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at the age of 9 months.
The news of a baby boy’s pending arrival brought much uncertainty to the soon-to-be parents, Ira Manichoose and Savannah Thomas. With the strength of a loving mother who endured a tough pregnancy and the prayers of loved ones, Kaw-Liga Terry Ray Manichoose was born a happy and strong baby boy, who arrived a month early on February 19, 2021, at 10:35am. He weighed 6.1 pounds and was 19.25 inches in length. Kaw-Liga was welcomed into this world as the younger brother of two siblings: 7-year-old brother Tyrion Thomas and 23-month-old sister Louiseann Thomas. He gifted us with 9 months and 16 days of pure joy and love before passing.
He will be sadly missed by his parents Ira Clarence Patrick Manichoose and Savannah Blaze Marie Thomas; siblings Tyrion Thomas and Louiseann Thomas
Kaw-Liga joins both great-grandparents, Edward and Violet Goodswimmer and Wilfred & Louiseann Thomas.
A Viewing will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021, from 6:00pm-8:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.)
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021, at 11:00am, at Valleyview Memorial Hall.
