Obituary of KATHERINE PETERS
KATHERINE PETERS
(NEE RUMAK)
Katherine passed away peacefully with her son by her side at the Riverview Palliative Care Unit (3 East) on August 19, 2021 at the age of 102 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Peters in 2006, and earlier by her 2 brothers and a sister, and son in law Alex.
Katherine is survived by her children Francis Peters and Catherine Tschernow, grandchildren Christian Tschernow and Carolyn Tschernow, great grandchildren Nikolas Tschernow and Jacob, Liam and Grace Girardin, niece Diane Chody and nephew Jim Rumak.
Katherine was a kind spirit, with much love and caring for all who knew her. She had a penchant for reading with a sharp wit that she maintained almost to the end. The sound of children always made her smile. Her marriage to her husband Frank lasted almost 70 years; he remained in her heart to the end. Large family gatherings were not uncommon with her cooking skills at the forefront. To say she will be missed is huge understatement.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 27 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Parish, 250 Burrin Avenue, with interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of KATHERINE
