Katalin Eva Viktoria Aradi Szabo 19262021

Katalin Eva Viktoria (Aradi) Szabo
1926-2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Katalin
(Cathy) Szabo announces her passing on September 18, 2021, in her
sleep, at the Mountainside Lodge special care home in Island View,
NB.
Katalin was born in 1926, in Mezotur, Hungary. In
Hungary she was a much-loved elementary school teacher. She
was married for 62 years to the love of her life, Dr. Laszlo Szabo.
They lived in Hungary, Russia and Finland, before settling in Canada
in 1969.
Katalin was a very kind and caring person, the best mother /
grandmother / great grandmother anyone could wish for. She
will be greatly missed and always lovingly remembered by her family,
friends, and acquaintances.
She is survived by her children Laszlo (Kate) and Zsuzsanna
(Rick), grandchildren Eva (Allan), Zita (Myque), Nora (Sebastian) and
Christopher, and great grandchildren Thor, Aurora, Mira and
Zoltan.
In addition to immediate family, she is also survived by her
stepsister Ida, as well as several nieces and nephews in Hungary. She
was predeceased by her father, Istvan Aradi, her mother Etelka, her
stepmother Maria, her bothers Istvan and Tibor, and her husband Dr.
Laszlo Szabo.
There will be no visitation by request. A private burial and
celebration of Katalin’s life will take place at a later
date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart
and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society.
