Karen Margaret Rivers (nee Ross) of Walford Ontario passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Health Sciences North in Sudbury Ontario on August 25, 2021. Karen was born November 5, 1952 to the late Donald and Shirley Ross of Shaunavon Saskatchewan. Karen was the middle of four siblings; Laverne Theis, Jeannie Ross (Lee), Vic Ross (Peggy). Karen leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 49 years. Darrell Rivers and her two son’s RJ (Jenal) of Walford and Christopher (Jessica) of Lively. “Grammy” will be fondly remembered by her 6 grandchildren Anyssa, Calub, Rylee, Maggie, Kayden and Maverick and 2 great grandchildren Quinn and Owen. From an early age Karen professed her love and life to the church and to the Lord. She spent many hours volunteering her time at church, the Massey Minor hockey association and at the Walford Community hall. Karen’s faith was strong, her passion for helping others was her driving force. She will be fondly remembered by many friends and family. Karen loved nothing more in this world than spending time with family especially the kids. Family and friends can gather during a celebration of Karen’s life at the Walford hall Saturday September 18 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Walford Community Hall in Karen’s name would be greatly appreciated. The family want to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and doctors on the fifth floor at HSN. Your compassion, professionalism and support greatly appreciated during Karen’s last few days.
