It is with intense sadness that we announce the unexpected death of our cherished Juzef (Joe) Jonczyk. He passed away at the family home on the morning of August 25 at 60 years of age.
Joe was much treasured as the devoted husband of Lise, the loving father of Lynne (Bruno Laroche), and Liane, and the affectionate grandfather of Olivia.
Joe is also grieved by his surviving siblings Krystyna, Eddie and Diane Desrosiers. Nieces and nephews Bruce, David, Tracy, Laurie-Ann, Steven, Chantal, Trenton, Tyler, James, Luc and his aunt Anna Wierzbowska.
He will be remembered for many things, including his tireless work over the years in the landscaping (Designs of All Kinds) and snow removal business (Snow Force Plowing).
But more importantly, he leaves the memory of a loving family man, who has worked hard his entire life to provide nothing but the best to his loved ones. The memories he leaves of magical summers on the Mississippi Lake will live forever, just like he will himself in the heart of his loved ones.
Joe will be joining another new resident of the eternal, Charlie Watts, drummer for the Rolling Stones who passed away one day before Joe did. As a die hard ‘Stones fan, we know he will enjoy hearing all the backstage stories he has been intrigued with all of his life.
Rest in peace dear husband, dad, and grandpa. You will be greatly missed, but never, ever forgotten. We will always love you.
Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Richmond Road), Ottawa on Wednesday, September 1st from 1 pm to 2:15 pm. Celebration of Life service at 2:30 pm will also be livestreamed. Following Covid protocol, attendance will be strictly limited to registered guests.
