June Marie Tabor 1923 2021

Obituary of June Marie Tabor
June Marie Tabor, age 98, passed in peace on September 25, 2021 as the last surviving member of her family. She was born in Walker Settlement and was the daughter of the late John and Mabelle (Cunningham) Anderson. She married the love of her life, Reginald Tabor in 1947 and we take great comfort in knowing that they are now reunited in heaven as he preceded her in death in 1996.
For more than 35 years the two worked their family farm side-by-side as they raised their four children and eventually shared their love of farm life with their grandchildren. No matter how busy those days were and even as the years slowed June down, there was always a cup of tea and a piece of cake for family, friends and neighbours who visited.
June lived a wonderful life surrounded by warmth, love and community. She was a member of the St. John’s United Church and was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Sus Branch #20 Ladies Auxiliary and the UCW for all the years her health allowed. She and Reg enjoyed their travels, loved dances, card parties and Sunday drives. Her hands were rarely still and her knitting, crocheting, and quilting will be treasured by many for years to come.
June will live on in the hearts of her son, Walter (Shari) of Newline; daughters: Lorraine Pollock of Wards Creek, Stella Keays of Fredericton and Christina Graves (Dennis) of Rothesay; daughter in-law Linda Tabor.
Her grandchildren: Alaina (Rick) Lockhart, Rob (Holly) Pollock, Bruce (Merri-Lee) Tabor, Carol (Joel) Wanamaker, Wayne (Andrea) Tabor, Ryan (Ellie) Graves, and Allen (Lindsay) Graves as well as step-grandchildren Tony and Deannie Pollock and Fiona Lynch.
Her great-grandchildren: Lauren Lockhart, Joe Pollock, Keagen Tabor, Jasper, Declan, Wesley and Emmett Tabor, Everly Wanamaker and Owen Graves; as well as many nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt June.
June also shared a special bond with her sisters-in-law: Georgina Perkins and Helen Tabor.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband, June was predeceased by grandson, Steven Tabor; her brothers: Edgar, Harry, Curtis, Oscar and Earle Anderson; her sisters: Irene Dalling and Laura Wilkins; her sons-in-law: Norman Pollock and Joe Keays; and by her husband’s siblings: Violet Cunningham, Ron, Lorne and Norman Tabor.
June would want to express her appreciation for her devoted and cherished caregivers who helped fulfill her wish to live at home.
Because we loved her deeply, she becomes a part of us.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on September 28th, 2021 from 11am to 3pm and a service celebrating June’s life will be held from St. John’s United Church on September 29th at 11am. Due to Limited Capacity the service will be recorded, You will also be able to hear the service in the church parking lot. The interment will be at Trinity Cemetery in Sus Corner immediately following the service.
