Obituary of June Marie Mullen
Mullen, June (nee Lafferty)
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Hospice Niagara at the age of 86. Loving wife of Terry Mullen, who had just celebrated their 65th Anniversary. Mother of Wendy (Claude) Harrisson, Brian (Carole) Mullen. Cherished grandmother of Katrina and Zack Mullen; and Brandon and Megan Harrisson. June will be deeply missed by her sisters: Helen (Art, deceased) Gooden, Shirley (Bob, deceased) Steele, Doris (Jack, deceased) Townsend, Brother Ernie (Bev) Lafferty, Lillian (Brother Vince, deceased) Lafferty.
June retired from Linhaven where she worked for over 12 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother (Grammy), who was full of grace with only a kind word for everyone. June will also be remembered for her love of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Elvis Presley, the highland fling and her delicious cherry delight dessert.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, Queenston St (meet at 10:45 at the cemetery gates, next to the tower) on Wednesday, September 15th at 11 am. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to Walker Cancer Center, or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. A special thank you to the staff of Hospice Niagara for all their support, kindness and attentiveness they have shown June and all of the family during the last month that she spent there.
Her kindness, extreme amount of patience and gentle ways will be sorely missed. In our hearts forever.
