Obituary of Julien Roy
ROY, JULIEN 1948-2021
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Julien Roy (aka “Judge”) on September 19, 2021 at his residence with his loving family at his side.
Loving husband to his wife of 48 years, Lorraine (née Parisé). Cherished father of Sylvie and Stéphane Roy. Beloved grandfather of Yannick, Mikaël and Shadya. He is survived by his siblings Louisette, Gilles, Ernie and Francine (Lehoux), their spouses and his numerous nieces and nephews. Julien was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Marie-Anna and his brother Claude.
Julien was a GM machine repairman by trade and an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion. A dedicated family man who valued honesty, trust and hard work. A kind and gentle soul with a zest for life, always up for adventure and never one to turn down a challenge. He explored and excelled in all that he undertook; fastball and bowling being two of his favorite sports. He shared his love of life, sports and adventure with his children and grandchildren.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Welland Funeral Home on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 7-9 p.m. Please click the R.S.V.P. link to schedule your attendance. Those that attend are required to wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines. Lining-up and cycling of guests will be managed by the funeral home staff both indoors and outdoors. Interment of cremains will take place at a later date. If desired, donations to Ronald McDonald House Charities will be greatly appreciated by the family.
