October 27, 1939 – June 2, 2021
At the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home, Simcoe on June 2, 2021, Julia Smith (nee Bedecki) in her 82nd year. Wife of the late Thomas Smith (1993). Dear mother of Cheryl Miraglia (Dave), Bryan Smith, and Diana Perry (Tracy Heys). Cherished grandmother of Jeremy, Nicole (Eddie), William, Zachary, Alexander, Kayla and Nicholas and great grandmother of Brixton and Mason. Julia is also survived by her siblings Theresa Manton (George), Robert Bedecki (Vera Kichton) and Helen McCullough (Dan). She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the CWL and the Senior’s Centre. A visitation will be held at The Ferris Funeral Home, 214 Norfolk St., S., Simcoe on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Those wishing to attend the visitation must register with the funeral home by phone (519-426-1314) or email (ferris@kwic.com). Face masks are still mandatory. A Liturgy of the Word will be held on Monday, June 7 for the family followed by interment at St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery.
