Judith
“Judy” L. Cambers, 74, of Moncton passed away peacefully at
The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Born in Moncton,
she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Marjorie (Crandall)
Cambers.
Judy was a
retired Postal Clerk from Canada Post with over 32 years’
service. She was a long-time member of Moncton First Church
of the Nazarene where she served her church in various capacities over
the years and she was a member of the Centennial Lawn Bowling
Club. Judy enjoyed crocheting, lawn bowling, quilting,
attending church events, reading, doing puzzles, working on her
computer and socializing with her family and
friends.
Judy is
survived by her sister Betty Hood (late Fred) of
Fredericton; brothers Fred (Florence) of New Castle ON,
Brian (Jean) of Moncton and Gregory Cambers (Susan) of Moncton; nieces
and nephews Kimberley Walker (Kelly), Karen Hood, Vicki Colicchia,
Christine Currie (Josh), Brent Cambers, Christopher Cambers, Alison
Eagles (Chris), Jamie Cambers (Catherine); great nieces and
nephews, Geoffrey, MacKenzie, Megan, Nicholas, Joshua, Samuel, Isabel,
Molly, Noah, Aaron, Hope, Samantha, Carson, Liam, Aubrey, Kailyn;
special cousin Linda Sweezey; in addition to her parents, Judy was
predeceased by her niece, Heather, nephew Mark and great
niece, Jordan.
Judy’s family would like to thank the staff
at Moncton Residence and the doctors and nurses at the Moncton
Hospital for the compassion and care given to Judy during her
stay.
Visitation
will take place at Fergusons Funeral home on Wednesday
November 10, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00
pm. A service to celebrate Judy’s
life will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on
Friday November 12 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Patti Rossiter
leading the service. Interment will be held in Elmwood Cemetery in
Spring 2022.
Those
attending the visitation hours and service must provide a government
issued I.D. as well as proof of double vaccination. Masks must be worn
while inside the funeral home.
